Saludos y despedidas
| Inglés | Español | Cuándo |
|---|---|---|
| Hello / Hi | Hola | Siempre |
| Good morning | Buenos días | Hasta el mediodía |
| Good afternoon | Buenas tardes | De 12 a 18 h aprox. |
| Good evening | Buenas tardes/noches | Al llegar la noche |
| Good night | Buenas noches | Solo al despedirte o irte a dormir |
| Goodbye / Bye | Adiós | Al irte |
| See you later | Hasta luego | Con amigos |
El verbo to be (ser / estar)
| Sujeto | Afirmativa | Corta | Negativa | Pregunta |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| I | I am | I'm | I'm not | Am I? |
| you | you are | you're | you aren't | Are you? |
| he | he is | he's | he isn't | Is he? |
| she | she is | she's | she isn't | Is she? |
| it | it is | it's | it isn't | Is it? |
| we | we are | we're | we aren't | Are we? |
| they | they are | they're | they aren't | Are they? |
Ejemplos:
- I am Sofía. (Yo soy Sofía.)
- She is from Mexico. (Ella es de México.)
- Tom is tired. (Tom está cansado.)
- Max is a dog, not a cat. (Max es un perro, no un gato.)
- Are you Spanish? No, I'm not. I'm Mexican. (¿Eres español? No, soy mexicana.)
Presentarse
- What's your name? → My name is Sofía. / I'm Sofía.
- Where are you from? → I'm from Mexico City.
- How are you? → I'm fine, thanks. And you?
- Nice to meet you! → Nice to meet you, too!
Para decir tu nacionalidad: I'm Mexican, Colombian, Spanish, Argentinian, Chilean, Peruvian.
- ❌ Is raining. ✅ It is raining. (Siempre hay sujeto.)
- ❌ I have 25 years. ✅ I am 25 years old. (La edad usa to be, no have.)
- ❌ She are nice. ✅ She is nice. (Cada sujeto tiene su forma.)
- ❌ I am agree. ✅ I agree. (Agree no lleva to be.)
- ❌ Im from mexico. ✅ I'm from Mexico. (Apóstrofo y mayúscula.)
Mini historia: El primer día
Sofía llama a la puerta del piso. Abre un chico con pijama de dinosaurio.
— Hi! I'm Tom. Are you Sofía?
— Yes, I am! Nice to meet you!
— Nice to meet you, too. This is Max. He is my dog. Well, he is our dog now.
Desde la escalera, una voz grita: 'Is that the new student?' Es Mrs. Green, la casera. 'Yes, she is!' responde Tom. 'She is very nice. And she is not late!' Sofía sonríe. Londres ya no da tanto miedo.
Reto 🎯
Escribe en voz alta, sin mirar, una presentación de 4 frases: tu nombre, tu país, cómo estás y un 'Nice to meet you'. Ejemplo: Hi! I'm Ana. I'm from Peru. I'm fine, thanks. Nice to meet you!
